My journey as a bartender began just a few years ago — truly a second career. My wife owns Circa 1800 Restaurant and Bar in downtown Fayetteville, and when the restaurant needed another bartender, I decided to make a change. After years with NCDOT in bridge inspection and other areas of civil engineering, a few back issues made working with concrete less ideal. What started as filling a need quickly turned into discovering a genuine passion.

I dove headfirst into the world of cocktails and found myself captivated by both the precision and creativity it demands. I’ve come to love the timeless classics just as much as crafting new ones inspired by vintage cocktail templates.

Today, I’m proud to serve as Head Bartender and Co-Owner of The Waiting Room at 106, while also expanding into mobile bartending through The Southern Spirit Guide. I’m excited to bring thoughtful, spirit-forward cocktails to weddings, private events, and celebrations — wherever great drinks and good company come together. - Anthony Jackson
